Sculptural Glass
Completed 1991
This piece was created by gathering a small amount of clear glass & shaping it into a cone shape. It was then reheated, laid on one side in white glass powder, reheated & then twisted to form the inner spiral. It was reheated again, and then clear glass was gathered over the top - pulled to a point and curved over to form the tusk shape. A small clear spine was then added on one side at the base and thinned out as it reached the top.
